San Bernardino suspects identified: The two shooters who carried out yesterday’s attack at a social-services center were identified by police as Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27.  Family members said they were married and had a 6-month-old daughter. A motive has not been determined, though officials said they haven’t ruled out terrorism. The attack killed 14 people.

Oscar Pistorius convicted: A South African court has overturned Olympian Oscar Pistorius’s conviction on charges of manslaughter, and convicted him of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in 2013. Pistorius, who is under house arrest after spending one year of a five-year sentence in prison, will be resentenced. Update: More here

FIFA officials arrested: Swiss authorities have arrested two senior officials from soccer’s governing body in Zurich in connection with a bribery investigation. The officials have not yet been identified.

Juneau mayor’s death: Police say Greg Fisk, the Alaskan capital’s newly elected mayor, died of natural causes. The 70-year-old mayor’s sudden death this week prompted much speculation because he was found with facial injuries, which, police said, came from a fall. Update: More here
