U.K. to vote on Syria strikes: Britain’s Parliament will vote today on a measure to conduct air strikes against the Islamic State in Syria. Lawmakers are expected to approve the motion, which calls the Islamic state a “direct threat” to the U.K. Update: More here

Pakistan hangs school attackers: Four men have been executed by the government in connection with last year’s attack on a school in Peshawar that killed more than 150 people, mostly children. The attack was claimed by the Pakistani Taliban.

Yahoo’s plans: The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times are reporting that the board is considering major changes, including the sale of both Yahoo’s core business as well as its valuable stake in Alibaba, the Chinese online retailer.

A birth announcement: As Adam reported yesterday evening, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan announced the arrival of their daughter and pledged to give away 99 percent of their Facebook shares—worth $45 billion.
