Brussels on Lockdown: Schools, universities, and subways are closed in the Belgian capital and its suburbs as police search for suspects in the Paris attacks. Belgian security forces carried out 19 raids and arrested 16 people late Sunday night. The region remains at the country’s highest terror alert level, with officials warning of a possible Paris-like attack. Update: More here

Argentina Election: Mauricio Macri, the mayor of Buenos Aires, has been elected the country’s president, defeating Daniel Scioli, the governor of the province of Buenos Aires who was hand-picked by the departing president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. The contest ended in a runoff vote, the first in Argentina’s history.

New Orleans Shooting: Sixteen people were injured in a shootout at a city playground late Sunday night. Hundreds of people were in the area, some to attend a party and others to film a music video, when two groups opened fire on each other.

Paris Meeting: French President François Hollande meets with British Prime Minister David Cameron in the French capital, the first of several face-to-face conversations with world leaders for Hollande this week. The city’s top tourist officials will also meet to discuss the impact of the attacks on tourism.
