What We're Following This Morning

Tensions rise: The Tomb of Joseph, the Jewish holy site in the West Bank city of Nablus, has been badly damaged in a fire set by Palestinians. Peter Lerner, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, called it “a blatant violation of the basic value of freedom of worship.” Update: More here

A deal with Turkey: European Union leaders have agreed on a joint plan with Turkey to slow the flow of migrants into the bloc. In exchange, they agreed to loosen visa restrictions on Turkish citizens and “re-energize” talks on the country’s effort to join the EU. Update: More here

A setback for fantasy sports: As Matt reported last night, the Nevada Gaming Control Board ruled that daily fantasy-sports games constitute gambling under the state’s law. The decision comes as the industry is facing increasing scrutiny from state and federal law-enforcement agencies.

Goodbye, US Airways: A US Airways flight will depart San Francisco tonight at 9:55 p.m. PT. When the red-eye flight lands in Philadelphia at 6:18 a.m. on Saturday morning, there will be no more US Airways flights. The move is part of the merger with American Airlines. USA today reports: “The goal is to have American Airlines signage up in its place by the time flights begin again on Saturday morning.”
