Volkswagen scandal: Michael Horn, the company’s U.S. chief executive, knew about a possible emissions problem in 2014, earlier than previously acknowledged. He is to testify before Congress today on the cheating scandal.
A strike averted: The United Auto Workers and Fiat Chrysler reached a tentative agreement on a new contract shortly after a midnight deadline set for a strike. Fiat Chrysler’s workers still need to approve the deal. They rejected a previous one last week.
An airstrike in Yemen: There are confirmed fatalities on the ground following an airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen that hit a wedding party in Sanban. Death tolls range from 13 to 23. An airstrike last month on a wedding party in Mocha killed 130 people.
