A guilty plea: Dennis Hastert, who served as speaker longer than any Republican in history, pleaded guilty today to a felony charge of evading federal bank-reporting laws. As David reports, Hastert reportedly broke federal bank-reporting laws while attempting to pay hush money in a sexual-misconduct case.

News from space: NASA’s Cassini will dive today through an icy spray from Enceladus, one of Saturn’s moons.

Alan has compiled “the most powerful and revealing images of Enceladus made by Cassini over the past decade.” Elsewhere in space, as Marina reports, astronauts Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren are on a six-and-a-half-hour mission to perform maintenance work outside the International Space Station.
