India’s minister of agriculture, Radha Mohan Singh, is addressing the country’s drought by telling farmers to “empower the seeds with the help of positive thinking”—basically, applying the practices of yoga to farming.
Singh cited a study that states, “Every day, farmers should give vibrations of peace, love, and divinity to seeds and his farm land with the help of Rajyog, so that it will help increase growth and resistance power.”
Radha Mohan Singh is entitled to his beliefs. India's farmers must be laughing at this minister. What a shame!— Nitin Pai (@acorn) September 15, 2015

Singh is no stranger to ridicule:
[I]n July, he was criticised for his bizarre comments that farmer suicides were a result of “failed love affairs” and “impotency”.
