Puerto Rico to default on debt payment: The American territory will miss a $370 million payment due today, Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla said. The default could prompt lawsuits from creditors. Puerto Rico’s overall public debt stands at $70 billion, $1 billion of which is due July 1.

Australian acknowledges he created Bitcoin: Craig Wright told the BBC in an interview today that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious creator of the virtual currency. Last December, Australian Federal Police raided Wright’s home after Wired and Gizmodo both named him as one of the people behind Nakamoto. Update: More here

Protesters leave Iraq’s parliament: But the Shiites loyal to Moktada al-Sadr vowed to return. Baghdad declared a state of emergency Saturday after the protesters breached the heavily fortified Green Zone and demanded an end to government corruption.
