A good night for Cruz and Sanders: The U.S. senators from Texas and Vermont won their respective presidential primaries in Wisconsin last night. The victory adds to Sanders’s recent string of triumphs over Hillary Clinton. Cruz’s win makes more difficult Donald Trump’s path to the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination.

Pfizer, Allergan kill planned mega-merger: The biggest American drug company is expected to announce this morning that it won’t pursue its $150 billion takeover of Allergan, according to multiple news organizations, including the Wall Street Journal. The merger would have moved Pfizer to Ireland to reduce its taxes. The Obama administration announced rules this week that targeted such deals, which are known as inversions. Update: It’s official: The merger is off.

UConn women triumph: The Huskies won their fourth straight title last night, defeating Syracuse 82-51.
