Deadly shooting at Lackland Air Force Base: Authorities said two people were killed in the murder-suicide in San Antonio. They added the incident was not an act of terrorism.

Arrests in Belgium: The federal prosecutor said several people were arrested in connection with last month’s Brussels attacks. Belgian media report that among those arrested is the third airport attacker, who, they say, was also wanted for the Paris attacks in November.

Syrian authorities free American: The State Department did not identify the man, but The Washington Post and the AP both are reporting that he is Kevin Dawes, a freelance photographer who went missing in Syria in 2012.
