A powerful earthquake in Taiwan: The magnitude-6.4 temblor reportedly resulted in the collapse of buildings in the southern city of Tainan, home to 2 million people. It’s unclear if there were any casualties in the quake that stuck early Saturday.

RIP, Edgar Mitchell: The astronaut was the sixth man to walk on the moon. He died late Thursday in West Palm Beach, Florida. Mitchell was 85.
