An order reversed: On Tuesday, Utah Judge Scott Johansen ruled that a nine-month-old girl be taken away from a same-sex couple, because of their sexual orientation, and given to an opposite-sex couple. Today, he reversed course—following a massive backlash.
Myanmar elections: Aung San Suu Kyi’s National League of Democracy Party won an absolute majority in the country’s first free elections in 25 years. As Adam reports: “The extent of the drubbing by the opposition was a major shock given the entrenchment of the military institution, which is still allocated one-fourth of the seats in both chambers of parliament.”
Too slow: Police in Mountain View, California, ticketed Google’s self-driving car for driving 24 in a 35-mph zone.
