You might have heard: The editorial staff from The Wire has joined up with The Atlantic. We're very happy about this, because it brings The Atlantic a dedicated news team with all the energy and focus of The Wire, as well as an enhanced culture team, and gives everyone around here the opportunity to work together more closely.
We're meanwhile rethinking The Wire itself. The main differences you'll see to begin with are that The Wire's homepage will link to news coverage from The (bigger) Atlantic, and its Facebook page and Twitter feed will start drawing on an even wider range of coverage from across the web. But we intend to be experimental with it—which really isn’t new; we always have been. So keep The Wire bookmarked here or follow it on Facebook here. Excelsior.
