On Thursday afternoon, George Zimmerman's wife Shellie filed for divorce, nearly a week after she told ABC News she was thinking about ending her marriage, according to multiple reports.
Update: The Orlando Sentinel, along with Zimmerman's brother Robert, have confirmed that Shellie is preparing paperwork to file, but has not formally done so, yet:
According to Shellie's atty Kelly Sims - Shellie is preparing to file 4 divorce. Docs have not yet been filed in Seminole Cty. Pray 4 them.

Attorney Kelly Sims told the Sentinel that "After much soul searching and recent disappointments, Shellie feels compelled to officially end her six year marriage to George Michael Zimmerman."
She pleaded guilty in August to perjury, after lying to officials during Zimmerman's bond hearing about the couple's financial situation. Shellie told the court in April of 2012 that the couple had no money, when in fact they'd collected donations for Zimmerman's defense as the story of Trayvon Martin's death became international news. Through a now-defunct site, Zimmerman collected $204,000 from supporters for his defense. George Zimmerman wasn't with Shellie when she pleaded guilty in court.

Shellie added that continuing to stay married to Zimmerman was "something I'm going to have to think about."
