A certain labor dispute had Americans talking about the value of working men this week, Jon Stewart explained on The Daily Show last night.
Was it the Chicago teacher strike? Nope. "Irreplaceable working men—not lazy public sector sloths fattened on gift apples and lounging in their faculty lounges with their chalky fingers and mugs, all of which proclaim they are the greatest teacher," Stewart said. Foxconn workers in China? Nope.
Stewart means NFL referees, a topic where media immediately took stand: People wanted the old refs book. "Look," Stewart said, "America finally learned what it took to quickly end a labor dispute."
