The U.S. Marine Corps said it's investigating a horrible video that shows Marines urinating on dead bodies. The video was uploaded anonymously to Liveleak.com (and, for now, can be found here on YouTube), reports the Daily Mail, with the caption "Scout sniper team 4 with 3rd battalion 2nd marines out of camp lejeune peeing on dead talibans." We imagine the investigation will look into confirming the identity of the troops and the bodies, but this is just bound to really anger a lot of people both in America and abroad. As Politico's Dylan Byers notes, this is "likely to be driving the media cycle tonight and perhaps for the foreseeable future." We agree. This story is definitely not going to be a quiet one for the Marines. A spokesperson said in a statement that "the actions portrayed are not consistent with our core values and are not indicative of the character of the Marines in our Corps." We shouldn't think so.
