A Beautiful Time-Lapse of Washington D.C.'s Sights at Night

For District Nights, Andrew Geraci spent two years composing these time-lapse shots of Washington's historic monuments at dusk. "Since not everyone can travel and enjoy these memorials," he says, "I wanted to create a piece that really showed off their beauty, especially at night."
Getting the shots wasn't easy; Geraci had to lug 45 to 60 pounds of gear around the city and deal with unpredictable weather. "During the making of this time-lapse," he explains on his Vimeo page, "I was hassled/stopped 27 times by D.C. police and received five parking tickets. That's pretty much how it goes in D.C."
