New Stomach-Turning Footage of the Reno Air Show Crash
In the video, the plane swerves directly downward into the camera's lens
On Monday, NBC's Today show released new, unsettling footage of the tragic stunt plane crash at last Friday's Reno Air Race. In the video, the plane's descent is captured as it swerves straight down towards the camera--an even more stomach churning angle than the widely circulated YouTube video of grandstand's bewildered reaction to the plane slamming into the ground. The angle also emphasizes that the accident could have been worse if the P-51 Mustang had hit a more populated part of the grandstand. As of now, the Associated Press has reported that investigators still aren't quite sure what caused the accident, and the outlet has upped the death toll to 10 people with many others injured.
