Around the Atlanto-Sphere

I'm trying to come up with a better term than "Atlanto-Sphere" for, well, the Atlanto-sphere. "Atlantisphere"? Makes it sound like something from Jules Verne. "Atlanticsphere," on the other hand, is just hard to say. I'm taking suggestions, but in the meantime:

1) Megan McArdle is breaking up with the airlines;
2) Alexis Madrigal says that mad scientists might soon present to us an airport scanner that does not require a human TSA agent to ponder the question, "Is that a bomb in your pants or are you just glad to be flying to Minneapolis today?"
3) Andrew thinks Congress should leave NPR alone. I agree, though I also agree that it would be best for everyone if NPR stopped taking any government help at all, which is why I'm planning on making a donation. It would be good, though, if they did include more non-liberal voices on their programs.
