(Gary Bertini, BBC Symphony Orchestra; Angel S-36506). Symphonies by Kurt Weill? Here are two of them, dating from 1921 and 1934, and both very workmanlike. No. 1 is a reflection of early Schoenberg, No. 2 has some of the perkiness, bounce, and melodic color of the Threepenny Opera. Nothing major, or especially original, but with a certain curiosity value.
