Biographical Notes on the Poets

TANIYOUS ABDOUH, who was born in Lebanon, published many poems, novels, articles, and translations before his death in 1926. ALBERT AIB, a prominent Lebanese writer, is editor of the literary magazine El-Adib. KHALIL MATHAN, a well-known Arab poet, is also an historian, journalist, and translator of Shakespeare. Though born in Lebanon in 1871, he has for a long time lived in Egypt. MICHEL TRAAD is a Lebanese poet who writes in the colloquial style of the mountains.
