Shoures Fate

THIRTY days hath Aprille,
Twenty-nine of which are chilly;
Of the twenty-nine days nippy,
Twenty-eight are downright drippy;
Of the twenty-eight days rainy,
Each contains a miscellany:
Smog or smaze or smist or smet . . .
Thus I move we send by jet,
Mig, or brig or flying saucer
Sote Aprille back to Chaucer.
