Baron Munchausen

THE moth on the lantern is a bat on the wall,
A monster of shadow on road and trees.
It’s the light, at night that multiplies
The fears are bigger when the light is small,
There are no fears when the dark is all.
Now Baron Munchausen has a pair of wings,
A bat of darkness he flies in the skies
And he throws on the screen of our verities
With gauze of iron the size of his lies
Really quite small in the nature of things.
