Water Summit

Some two million Americans lack consistent access to clean tap water.

With that comes several problems. It’s hard to protect yourself against a virus if you can’t wash your hands. It’s hard to shelter in place if you depend on buying bottled water.

The collective action problem that hindered the global response to COVID-19 also plays out on a larger scale with the issue of climate change, as rising sea levels continue to threaten coastline around the world.

In a digital eventcast, The Atlantic gathered leading voices in the world of water, from environmentalists and policymakers to academics and activists, discussing the critical water issues of our time.
