In Pursuit of Happiness

In Pursuit of Happiness

Find Joy in the Pursuit.

The Atlantic’s In Pursuit of Happiness event kicked off this spring to help people build more intentional and happy lives. Drawing on our celebrated coverage of the practices and principles of happiness from the renowned social scientist Arthur C. Brooks, we convened experts from a range of disciplines—neuroscientists and philosophers, artists and business leaders—to explore methods of and approaches to building a more meaningful life. Along the way, attendees participated in self-reflection and connect with others looking to enrich their own life and the lives of those around them.

An Intellectual Getaway With The Atlantic.

We’ll welcome you to our immersive experience located oceanside at Northern California’s Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. Join us for two and a half days of live, thought-provoking conversations with Atlantic voices including Jeffrey Goldberg, Arthur C. Brooks, and Kate Julian, as well as foremost experts in the fields of happiness, social science, and philosophy. Come and experience The Atlantic’s singular journalism, brought to life at a moment of deep consideration about how we live and work. Leave with the skills to cultivate new rituals and pursue more purpose.

Can’t attend in person? Be sure to register for our free virtual program, where you’ll discover experts’ insights on how to apply and share tools for fostering happiness. Between sessions, you’ll have the chance to put what you’ve learned into practice with guided exercises, to establish one-on-one virtual connections with other guests, and more.
