Atlantic Media Chairman David Bradley hosts this invitation-only dinner at his Washington,D.C., home, featuring a special menu crafted by Atlantic senior editor and award-winning food critic Corby Kummer. Last year, Dinner attendee Carol Joynt of the Washingtonian wrote, “'If [I] could attend only one party during the White House Correspondents dinner weekend, what would it be?' the answer is easy: the pre-event dinner on Friday night hosted by Atlantic Media's David and Katherine Bradley at their grand Embassy Row home.”

Edit Breakfast Featuring a Conversation with Rachel Maddow and Senator Joe Manchin
On the morning prior to the White House Correspondents' Dinner, The Atlantic and National Journal will host a festive breakfast in the heart of Washington, DC. This year's program will feature a special conversation with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow and Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) on America's military power, moderated by The Atlantic's Steve Clemons. Guests will gain unique insight into the debate over the role of the US military domestically and abroad, and will cover themes central to Maddow's acclaimed book, Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power.
Pre-Dinner Cocktail Reception
Cocktails and socializing prior to the dinner at the largest of the pre-dinner gatherings; the yearly reception is held at a prominent outdoor patio at the Washington Hilton and is cohosted with National Journal and CBS News.
