The Atlantic was founded in 1857 to illustrate the American idea.
The Atlantic Festival—rooted in our award-winning journalism, analysis and storytelling—continues this mission. Through in-depth interviews with some of today’s biggest innovators and leaders in technology, politics, business and the arts, we will illuminate new ideas, and grapple with the most important issues of our time.
From September 24-26, 2019, The Atlantic Festival took over multiple blocks of Washington, DC’s Penn Quarter. Anchored by our “Ideas Stage” at Sidney Harman Hall, our downtown campus will host headliner interviews, book talks, film screenings, networking receptions, performances, breakout lunches, and much more.
