Blasts in Beirut: Multiple fatalities are being reported following twin explosions in the predominantly Shiite suburb of Burj al-Barajneh in the Lebanese capital. Al-Arabiya is reporting that the attacks took place near a hospital run by Hezbollah, the Shiite militant group. Update: More here

University of Missouri update: The university’s curators will name an interim president at 1:30 p.m. The Columbia Daily Tribune is reporting that they will select Mike Middleton, the deputy chancellor emeritus of the Columbia campus.

Medal of Honor recipient:  President Obama awarded the Medal of Honor to retired Army Captain Florent Groberg for his actions in Afghanistan  in 2012 that saved the lives of his fellow soldiers. Groberg was badly wounded in the successful attempt to foil suicide bomb attacks in Kunar Province. You can watch the ceremony here:
