The photos coming out of Brussels on Saturday showed mostly empty streets slicked with rain and heavily armed soldiers. Belgian authorities had placed the capital city and its suburbs at the highest terror alert level, warning that the area was vulnerable to terrorist attacks like the ones that killed 130 people in Paris, and that residents should avoid public spaces.

And then there was this photo:

“Getting married in Brussels on November 21, 2015,” wrote Joris Marseille, who said in a later tweet that he didn’t know the couple. “This will definitely be a day to remember.”
