Clearly jealous of all the attention the Ukraine has been getting, today North Korea decided to test one of its long-range rocket launchers. It launched four rockets into the sea, according to the South Korean Defense Ministry.
North Korea has also launched short-range missiles last Thursday and yesterday, apparently as a way to register its displeasure with the annual South Korea/United States military exercises, as it is wont to do. But these long-range rockets have the ability to hit American and South Korean military bases.
"We believe this is an intentional provocation to raise tensions," the Defense Ministry said. That's a safe bet, since almost everything North Korea does is an intentional provocation to raise tensions. Basically, North Korea is trolling us with deadly weapons.
Russia also test-fired a long-range missile today, though this was a scheduled (if poorly-timed) launch.
