The President of the United States is in Israel, in case you hadn't heard. How did he spend his first presidential afternoon in the Holy Land? Let's take a visual tour, with vacation slides!

Air Force One arrived at the Ben-Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv. President Obama got a very warm welcome. Here he is giving a speech—in Hebrew! (sorta)—to all the people who came to greet him.

We've never seen a group of people so happy to be posing for pictures. We guess the jovial mood got to President Obama, who joked with Prime Minister Netanyahu, "It's good to get away from Congress." He probably uses that line on every PM! (Video via NowThis News)

Before leaving the airport, everyone stopped to look at this Iron Dome missile battery, partially funded with U.S. foreign aid. Neat!

See? Everyone is having fun. Jokes! (REUTERS/Jason Reed)

After leaving the airport, the president's limo broke down. (Someone doesn't know the difference between diesel and petrol. Oops!) Fortunately, the Secret Service always brings extras and they made it safely to home of President Shimon Peres. Time to plant a tree! (AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais)

Fun facts: The tree is a magnolia, descended an older magnolia tree at the White House. Time to sign the guest book! (AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster)

Kids! Flags! Israel loves this guy! (AP Photo/Sebastian Scheiner)

Obama spent most of the afternoon with Peres, holding a press conference after their private meeting. There was lots of agreement on things! Now go stand over there... (REUTERS/Jason Reed)
