Awww, Santorum Left Romney a Birthday Voicemail

Mitt Romney turned 65 today and proving that politics isn't all that matters right now (or does it?), Rick Santorum wants you to know that he's apparently wished him a happy birthday. It should be noted that it's Santorum's team doing the talking and according to The Hill and NBC News, they say Santorum phoned up his rival this morning with and left a birthday greeting on his voicemail. Of course, neither outlet seems to know what Santorum said in his voicemail, so we dont' know know if it was an elaborate, effusive bromance voicemail, an adorable voicemail, or simply a perfunctory, "Happy birthday, Mitt." We tried contacting the Romney campaign to see if Gingrich or Paul had sent their birthday wishes, but haven't heard back from them yet.
And, of course there would be slight intrigue if Romney was screening his calls. But it's more than likely he was in full campaign mode this morning. After all, even Ann Romney says he isn't taking the day off. "It's a happy birthday on the road and I'm hoping for a real big present tomorrow from Alabama and Mississippi," Romney was quoted as saying on Fox News this past Sunday. ABC news reported that Romney made a rain-soaked pitch in Mobile, Alabama Monday where, whether he liked it or not, was serenaded "Happy Birthday" by his supporters.
