For the first week of the still precarious nuclear crisis unfolding at Japan's crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station there were few photographs of the plant itself. Now, Tokyo Electric Power Company has distributed these handout images of the plants workers inside the control room of reactors no. 1 and 2.
The blurry/grainy images, via the Associated Press, are the first glimpse that outside observers have seen of inside the severely damaged plant and, perhaps more importantly, the workers risking their health to repair it:
