Wael Ghonim admits he was the administrator for the Facebook page that some say sparked outrage in Egypt

Twelve days after being seized by Egypt's police, blindfold and tortured, Wael Ghonim, Google's head of marketing for the Middle East and North Africa discussed his imprisonment on the privately owned television station Dream TV. The interview was an emotional, cagey one, in which Ghonim made it clear that he was tortured and wrongly accused, while at the same time defended his interrogators, saying they were only doing their job and looking out for Egypt's best interest.

Ghonim admitted he was the administrator behind the anti-torture Facebook page called "We are all Khaled Said," which is dedicated to the memory of 28-year-old beaten to death by police in Alexandria and credited with helping ignite the protests in Egypt. But he was insistent in refuting the notion that he is a traitor to Egypt. He spent so much time on this subject that anchor Mona El-Shazly, that she asked why he was pressing the point. "This is the season for accusing people of being traitors," Ghonim responded.
