Orbital View: Oil Ribbon Stretches Far Southeast of the Gulf Spill Site

Nearly four weeks after the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded, the resulting oil slick has begun to stretch southeast, toward Florida. Officials worry that it could snake around Florida and up the East Coast if it gets caught in the Loop Current.
