We interrupt this previously-scheduled break in blogging to report that I'm saddened and troubled and disappointed that the Yankees are letting Hideki Matsui slip away to the Angels. I understand the Yankees might need the D.H. spot for Posada and other worthies, but  you'd think they'd try harder to keep Matsui, considering that he knocked in 113 runs in one World Series game. But the ways of baseball are a mystery to me.

Now back to our break.
