There have been a lot of conflicting developments about ebola in the past two weeks, and thoug we've been parsing them out for you here at The Wire, we know exactly how hard it can be to keep up. For Jon Stewart and The Daily Show, trying to cover the outbreak in one fell swoop on last night's show proved difficult. Yet in many ways, Stewart's reactions mirrored our own.
First: Panic over the initial ebola news.

Then, calming down when learning the cases are all in Africa:
Feeling silly about panic, getting rid of hazmat suits:
Then hearing that, in fact, there was a suspected case at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City on Monday:
But then, like all of us, Stewart calmed down when he heard the patient's symptoms were just gastrointestinal distress and a fever.
"He could have ebola, or he could have just eaten [a bad] lunch," Stewart said. "It's what we in New York call 'our-bola.'"
