Oscar Host Ellen DeGeneres' Twitter-breaking selfie was perhaps the most meme-able moment of last night, aside from whatever was going on with John Travolta. Here the definitive (yet completely arbitrary) ranking of all the participating celebrities. (We've excluded Ellen because her presence was sort of required.)
1. Peter Nyong'o
Just happy to be there, but delightfully so. Living the dream!
2. Kevin Spacey
Frank Underwood would never make that face, but it's always so humanizing when we see big-time actors get caught making ugly faces. Us Weekly has made their fortune on it.
3. Angelina Jolie
Her wave says: "Look how much fun I'm having!" Her eyes say: "Just wait until next year."
4. Bradley Cooper
Credit where credit's due: He took the darn thing.
5. Meryl Streep
Admirably game to provide a lap for Jennifer Lawrence to perch on. So many bonus points for her "I've never tweeted before!" followup, which is a dog-whistle to Nancy Meyers to cast her in a new movie if we've ever heard one.
6. Channing Tatum
Appropriately, adorably awkward.
7. Lupita Nyong'o
Charming, per usual, but fairly well crowded out (gotta work on those focus-pulling skills now that she's an Oscar winner) and definitely upstaged by her brother.
8. Jennifer Lawrence
Charming, per usual, but taking up too much of this photo. Even when she doesn't win, she ends up taking up a disproportionate amount of attention.
9. Brad Pitt
We're not sure he knows why he's here.
10. Julia Roberts
Either having the best time or the worst time. Looks slightly pained.
11. Jared Leto
He didn't really need to run over to be in this picture, did he?
12. Liza Minnelli
Poor Liza. At least she tried. But she's purely in Lucille II territory with this reverse shot:
