Amy Poehler and Tina Fey: awards show saviors. The Golden Globes announced this morning that Fey and Poehler have signed on for two more years of hosting duties for the Hollywood Foreign Press' annual drinking party—excuse us—awards show.
It was reported back in August that the two were approached about signing on again, and Fey revealed on the Emmys red carpet that they were going to discuss whether or not they were going to host again that night. Considering they were one of the lone bright spots in Neil Patrick Harris' lackluster Emmys opening, we can only be thankful that they're back for a second (and third) go-around at the Globes.
The news also means that the two major movie awards shows this year are set to be hosted by women, with Ellen Degeneres taking over the Oscars. The Globes will air on January 12. Please excuse us while we re-watch their monologue from last year, as we're still laughing at that Kathryn Bigelow/James Cameron joke.
