The great theater actress Patti LuPone — aka Evita, Mama Rose, Mrs. Lovett — will guest star on two episodes of HBO's Girls, a decidedly untheatrical show about young people living in Brooklyn. Nonetheless, LuPone will be playing a "fictional version" of herself, which hopefully means that Hannah gets some kind of horrible job in theater or something. LuPone shot scenes with creator/star/writer/director/editor/van driver maybe Lena Dunham and Andrew Rannells, who is no stranger to the stage, so it's possible! Whatever happens, there had better be a lot of Patti LuPone yelling. Because Patti LuPone yelling is a great, great thing.
