The measurements are in and tailors are making their final adjustments before members of the D.C. press corps get to party with the political heavyweights at Saturday night's "nerd prom," also known as the White House Correspondents' Dinner. It isn't just journalists and politicians who come out for the party, though. Celebrities get invited, too, so different news outlets can see who brag over who had a more A-list dinner table. Excitement for tonight's party is brewing, as is excitement for tonight's after-parties, and probably for a few after-after parties. We can't report on those just yet, but we can report on who was in town for last night's pre-parties.
Rashida Jones and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were spotted at Time/People's cocktail reception. She's on Fortune's guest list for Saturday's dinner, and he's sitting with ABC. (Washington Post)
Charlize Theron, Kate Upton and Rosario Dawson were spotted at an event thrown by Funny or Die, Impact Film Fund, and Atlantic Media. Theron and Dawson were sectioned off in a special VIP "cage," while Upton apparently danced alone. Rosario Dawson will be sitting at The Atlantic/National Journal table, while Theron will be sitting with Politico. (Washington Post, Politico)
Woody Harrelson, Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford, Kris Jenner, Tony Romo and Rashida Jones (again) were all at a Google/Hollywood Reporter party on Friday. (Politico)
Fred Armisen, Jason Schwartzman, Sofia Vergara, Aziz Ansari and Rashida Jones (again) attended The New Yorker's party at the W hotel. Armisen gave Saturday's host Jimmy Kimmel a vote of confidence. (Politico)
Lindsay Lohan was supposed to accompany Greta Van Susteran to the Time/People party, but she missed her flight into D.C. She has since landed. (Politico)
