The Emmy nominations, announced yesterday, resurfaced the familiar Conan O'Brien-Jay Leno rivalry. Both O'Brien's brief fall version of The Tonight Show and Leno's current incarnation each submitted episodes for consideration. O'Brien's show garnered four nods, while Leno's return to the chair was snubbed completely. Both, however, won a fair amount of laughs yesterday making fun of the situation. Leno took to his talk show. O'Brien tweeted:
Congrats to my staff on 4 Emmy nominations. This bodes well for the future of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.
