Via Bossip (again) Barack Obama rocks the Negro National Anthem. How long before we hear someone complaining about Obama's treasonous rendition of that old socialist standard?

While we're on the subject, I've long felt that black folks need a new national anthem. Despite having to sing it constantly as a kid--and then at Howard football games--I never really like "Lift Every Voice..." A little to milquetoast for me. A couple nominations from the kid. Nina Simone's "I Wish I Knew," and Bob Marley's "Redemption Song." There Are problems, obviously. In Nina Simone's case you'd always be competing with her versions (you lose,) and you'd never have those killer drums that she's rocking. In the case of Bob, well "Redemption Song" may be permanently soiled by the legions of Legend toting fratboys. Bob is after the jump...
