I omit the Republican polling organization, Rasmussen, from any polling I cite because I believe their population sample is too skewed to old and white and Republican voters. But I check in to see internal trends in their polling from time to time. Sure enough, Obama's approval ratings are near Rasmussen's highest for him in a long time at 48 percent.
