To quote Thiessen:

"The Geneva Conventions are important to me."

Those conventions saved his mother from torture, and that suits his needs. However, they're not allowed to save someone's father from torture, because that wouldn't suit Thiessen's needs.

And he lays this craven philosophy out in an interview at a Christian network. Unbelievable.
