Taibbi is upset by Obama backtracking on drug importation. Taibbi faults Obama because he "is taking money from the pharmaceutical lobby (PhRMA) to help get his bullshit health care bill passed." From the post:

Apparently we are supposed to assume that a political candidate always lies and just accept that, and those of us who do not are “naive.”

If you assume that a politician will not trade away campaign promises, particularly ones likely to offend powerful interests, in order to advance other parts of his agenda then you are, indeed, naive. Accepting this is another matter, and I am plenty happy to have Taibbi hold politicians to account.
