Will Reid Follow Through?

A reader writes:

In your latest post on DADT you wrote, "DADT will have to be ended by the Congress. You think Pelosi or Frank or Reid will push for it?" I don't know about Pelosi or Frank, but it looks like Harry Reid is pushing for it. From Politico:

In a letter sent to President Barack Obama last week, Reid argued that changing the policy was a national security issue and called on the White House to move quickly. "As Congress considers future legislative action, we believe it would be helpful to hear your views on the policy," Reid wrote in the letter obtained by POLITICO. "I therefore request that you bring to Congress your recommendations on DADT." [...] Reid's letter, dated Sept. 24, was also sent to Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

Hopefully it is not just talk and something will actually come of it!
