Lionel Messi's wild extra-minute goal allowed Argentina to snatch victory from the hands of...well...a draw against Iran. A long, grinding game, in which the underdog Iran looked like it might pull off an unlikely victory against Argentina, ended with a bang and not a whimper.

Messi's late goal saved the gambling life of a bettor, who reportedly plunked down over $350,000 on the odd and low-paying bet that Argentina would beat Iran straight up.
