The first footage from Fury, reminds us that this will be the fall of Brad and Angie's dueling WWII epics. Both members of the Hollywood power couple have big films coming out in the fall about the war: Pitt stars in Fury from director David Ayer, while Jolie directs Unbroken.

A featurette about Fury was unveiled at E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The film focuses on one tank unit toward the end of the war. Though actor Michael Peña describes the film as "like a character study with action sequences," the featurette, however, highlights a lot of things blowing up, perhaps because it was first shown at the Wargaming.net E3 panel. The film was already the source of controversy during filming because production continued on Remembrance Day. (And because Shia LaBeouf reportedly smelled, but that's sort of irrelevant.)

Fury landed up on some premature Oscar lists, but the footage doesn't declare an ambition for awards buzz in the same way the first featurette for Jolie's Unbroken did when it was released in conjunction with the OlympicsUnbroken, based on Laura Hillenbrand's book, tells the story of Olympian Louis Zamperini, who, after surviving a plane crash, was taken as a Japanese POW.

Fury comes out November 14, while Unbroken emerges on Christmas.
