The first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy was scored by "Hooked on a Feeling," for the second one the people from Marvel added some "Spirit in the Sky." Though the new trailer has more action, it still maintains the cheeky bent that made our first glimpse of the movie so appealing.
The latest look at the next film in the Marvel canon also allows us to hear what Bradley Cooper sounds like as a raccoon, and what Vin Diesel sounds like as a tree. As an added bonus, there's also some Glenn Close, looking wacky!
The trailer explains the basics of what we need to know. Peter Quill (buff Chris Pratt) and the other Guardians are a bunch of wacky, potentially volatile outlaws that band to, you know, save the world. "This might not be the best idea," John C. Reilly's Rhomann Dey says at the end of the trailer. But, of course it is.
Marvel is doing a great job marketing this film as one that exists in a very distinct world—which is seemingly lovingly created by James Gunn—but also has a great sense of humor. The movie itself has a lot to live up to.
